2015 is finally over and 2016 is sneaking up on us very fast. The staff at Odysseys Surf School wants to thank everybody who made this year a fun and exciting year of 2015.
This year brought with it Odysseys Surf School 12th anniversary and to celebrate we had a big anniversary party. It also included a surf competition at Red island, Halloween surfing, Amway Group and Surf with Santa.
This year Odysseys Surf School could celebrate its 12th birthday and in the occasion of this big event we had an anniversary party, which were held in Eikon Bar in Legian, Bali. Around 600 guests attended the events and a lucky draw for the Odysseys’ staff settled who were attending. During the night; games, Odysseys’ limited t-shirt edition and door prizes were provided for the guests, just like free flow of drinks and tapas were offered during the event. Live music and DJ’s were entertaining the guests the whole night to ensure everybody had a blast.
International Red island surf competition took place in 2015 and we had some of our own surf instructors competing. Additional Odysseys Surf School supported local board riders with 10 surfboards and provided free surf lesson for the locals. Odysseys Surf School supplementary delivered 4 surfboards to Red island board rider as a part of the surfboard project ‘A BOARD FOR A SMILE’.
The 31th of October we had all our instructors dress up for a thrilling Halloween surfing! While wearing mask and costume they showed us how to be scary good at riding the waves while having fun in the water!
The surf shop was haunted for one day and entrée happened on own risk as our intimidating staffs were painted in the face and terrifying decorating was to be found at the shop. Small piñatas was giving to all the kids who took a surf lesson with Odysseys Surf School at Halloween.
In the month of November, Amway Group, accompanied us for some exciting and enjoyable surfing. During their stay we had minimum 20 to maximum 60 Koreans joining for surf lesson at Odysseys Surf School every day. We had so much fun!
With music playing from a boom blaster at the beach a fun and entertained time were guaranteed with this big group.
We cannot be more delightful to announce that we the 17th of December celebrated Christmas by inviting orphans joining us for ‘SURF WITH SANTA’.
This event could not have been possible without the support from Oakley, Hard Rock Café, UBER and the Lifeguard Balawista Badung. They all made this day special by contributing to a day filled with beach clean up, educational game session, surfing lesson and informative training about safety in the water and lunch for the orphans.
