The surfers will face the waves up to 12 feet in Nusa Dua. It needs more time whenever you wish to get out to Nusa Dua lineup. You can choose to paddle out or you can hire a canoe driver. If you choose to paddle out, you just need to walk up to the base of the Southside cliff followed by paddling straight out through a small break in the reef. Nusa Dua is favorable due to the easy access to get there. During wet season the winds blow both side and offshore in this spot. However, during dry season trades the winds blow dead onshore therefore you're advised to surf during mid to high tide to gain maximum surfing conditions. Nusa Dua can get crowded, but there are at least three different take off spots on this long stretch of reef. Wet season crowds are no where as bad as in the dry season. This is a powerful wave with some good tube sections, but there is usually a b current that works against you. The reef is around 500 mtrs offshore and it's better to hire a boat and save your energy for the current.
