Medewi beach is another beautiful beach in Bali . Its break can be easily to behold even from the parking lot. Some say that Medewi West has the longest lefthand wave amongst the others surfing spots. Also, they mention that this site is the longest drive to gain the proper breaking wave. A student of Odyssey Bali Surf School has been there and he said the waves there were long however they weren't strong enough and lazy to be surfed.

I've never had a problem with crowds up there, I think due to the distance from Kuta you have to travel. Also because there are no night clubs for the party crew. You will also find the locals very friendly in and out of the surf. It is definitely a long workable wave, but you won't find too many tube sections up there.

Odyssey Bali Surf School advises the surfers to surf from mid to high tide in this spot. In Medewi West there are numerous awesome places to stay overnight, enabling the surfers to watch the surfing break right to them. Those who wish to surf in Medewi West will be able to surf in full concentration, since there are not too many typical tourists visit this place.
