The name of Bingin is derived from a Balinese word Beringin which is also popular as Banyan tree. This sacred tree was seen growing on the cliff near the beach. Now, the site is becoming even more popular amongst the surfers throughout the world. Everyday we find out Bingin always full with all the wave riders. Bingin is frequently surfed due to its consistent barrels. Even though it's not a long wave ride, its high tide makes the wave section off fast and pleasant. All those specialties turn Bingin to be more popular than ever. The students of Odyssey Bali Surf School said they had to compete with locals since the take off spot is quite small. However that crowd makes every surfer even more competitive and motivated.

Bingin gets very crowded through the peak season, and the worst thing is there is only one small take off area. The wave itself is pretty mechanical, but only short. Take off pull in flick out.
